Yes! Er is weer een nieuw Salsa Ladies project van Gina Abbate! Dans je al twee jaar of langer en wil je werken aan je techniek, creativiteit en vrouwelijke elementen in je salsa? Schrijf je dan in voor de nieuwe Salsa Ladies Class! Vanaf 5 maart is er iedere donderdagavond een salsales speciaal voor dames. We gaan werken aan de bewustwording van het lichaam, waardoor er een natuurlijke stroming van energie en beweging ontstaat.
Wil je je niet alleen ontwikkelen op het gebied van dans, maar vind je het ook leuk op te treden? Doe dan mee aan het choreoproject dat aansluitend plaatsvindt! In drie maanden werken we samen aan een mooi dansstuk, waarmee je uiteindelijk kunt optreden op de theatervoorstelling op zondag 5 juli.
Zowel leerlingen van Poetic Motion als andere salsadansers zijn welkom! We vragen wel minimaal 2 jaar ervaring met salsa on2.
Salsa Ladies Fundamentals Class

Een nieuwe les bij Poetic Motion, speciaal voor dames! In deze les gaan we ons richten op de bewustwording van het lichaam, waardoor er een natuurlijke stroming van energie en beweging ontstaat. We ontleden de salsa basic en voegen alle onderdelen weer samen om ze toe te kunnen passen in partnering en shines.
We werken in de lessen aan een uitgebreide uitleg en verbetering van technieken die je als dame gebruikt in partnering. Natuurlijk doen we ook shines, en leren we hoe je vrouwelijke elementen kan toevoegen aan je persoonlijke stijl. Meer dan het leren van pasjes richten we ons op het ontwikkelen van je individuele creativiteit.
Choreoproject
Donderdag 5 maart t/m 21 mei van 20:00 tot 21:00 uur
In twaalf weken werken we samen aan het creëren van een mooi dansstuk. Je leert niet alleen een salsachoreografie aan, maar ook het synchroniseren en samenwerken met andere dansers, en de coördinatie en ruimtelijk inzicht die komen kijken bij het optreden in een groep. In de training wordt extra focus gelegd op je presentatie en inleving in de dans en de muziek. Natuurlijk komt er ook een stukje uithoudingsvermogen bij kijken!
Let op: het is alléén mogelijk om mee te doen aan het choreoproject in combinatie met de fundamentals-les! Je mag maar twee van de twaalf lessen missen.
Theater choreoproject
Donderdag 28 mei t/m 2 juli van 21:00 tot 22:00 uur
Doe je mee aan het choreoproject en lijkt het je leuk om op te treden in een theater? Na 21 mei trainen we verder met wie kan en wil optreden tijdens de theatervoorstelling op 5 juli. De Fundamentals Class stopt dan en we gaan ons volledig concentreren op het optreden.
Gina Abbate
Samen met Johnny Rama Hernandez is Gina oprichter en docent bij Poetic Motion. Poetic Motion verbindt mensen, door middel van dans en muziek, op een plek waar dat wordt toegelaten.
Voor Gina is het belangrijk dat iedereen zichzelf kan zijn. Iedereen moet geaccepteerd worden zoals hij/zij is. Zij streeft ernaar om mensen met elkaar te verbinden, op een ongedwongen en rustige manier. Met Gina’s creativiteit is elke dag weer anders. Haar doel is om mensen bewust te maken van zichzelf door middel van dans, en om mensen te ondersteunen in hun persoonlijke ontdekkingsreis, lichamelijk en mentaal.

Yes! Finally a new Salsa Ladies Project by Gina Abbate! Are you dancing salsa for 2 years or longer and do you want to work on your technique, creativity and feminine elements in your salsa? Join the new Salsa Ladies Class! Starting on March 5th, there will be a special salsa class for ladies every Thursday. We will work on the awareness of the body, and create a natural flow of energy and movement.
Do you want to develop your dancing as well as perform? Then join the choreo project that follows the class! In 3 months, we will work on a beautiful dance piece, that you can perform at the theatre showcase on July 5th.
Both Poetic Motion students as well as other salsa dancers are welcome! We do ask a at least 2 years’ experience in salsa on2.
Salsa Ladies Fundamental Class
Thursday March 5th to May 21st from 19:00 to 20:00
Good to know: you have to have at least 2 years’ experience in salsa on2.
A new class at Poetic Motion, especially for ladies! In this class, we will focus on the awareness of the body, and create a natural flow of energy and movement. We will dissect the salsa basic and put all the pieces back together to apply them in partnering and shines.
In the classes, we will work on an extensive explanation and improvement of the techniques you use in partnering as a lady. Of course we will do shines as well, and learn how to add feminine elements to your personal style. More than learning new steps, we will focus on developing your individual creativity.
Choreo Project
Thursday March 5th to May 21st from 20:00 to 21:00
In 12 weeks, we will work together on creating a beautiful dance piece. Not only will you learn a salsa choreography, you will also learn to synchronise and work together with other dancers, and focus on the coordination and spatial awareness that is necessary when you perform in a group. In the training, there will be extra focus on your presentation and imagination of the dance and music. Of course, some stamina is required as well!
Good to know: you can only join the choreo project in combination with the fundamentals class! You can only miss 2 of the 12 classes.
Theatre Choreo Project
Thursday May 28th to July 2nd from 21:00 to 22:00
Are you joining the choreo project and do you want to perform in a theatre? After May 21st we will continue to train with the dancers that want and are able to perform at the theatre showcase on July 5th. The Fundamentals Class stops and we will focus completely on the performance.

Together with Johnny Rama Hernandez, Gina is a teacher and founder of Poetic Motion. At Poetic Motion, we care about bringing people together through dance and music.
To Gina, it is important that everyone can be themselves and is accepted the way they are. She wants to connect people in an unstrained and calm way.
